Getting Jazzy in BoudaVida

Getting Jazzy in Boudavida

As part of their regular yoga and wellness reviews for Totally Aesthetic, Helen and Steph at Studio One Pilates are often sent some great and sometimes not so great things to try and test out.  This month the girls struck lucky with some great leggings from BoudaVida.  Helen tells us more

As someone who lives every waking hour in my activewear, I have very strict rules about what my leggings should achieve whilst I’m wearing them! These rules include; opaque coverage, support and of course they have to be aesthetically pleasing.

I am only 5ft 1 and I tend to avoid wearing leggings that are largely patterned and multicoloured, but I was pleasantly surprised by these Boudavida Jazzy Leggings. The colourful geometric print combined with the granite block at the side create a lovely leg lengthen illusion.

After carrying out the opaque test which involves standing in many unflattering positions in front on the studio mirror, I can confirm that they did not go see through (which for anyone that does pilates will know how important this is).

I love the Moxie Tee, it’s super comfortable and has a lovely wide neckline that is very flattering. It looks great over a vest top or on its own and goes beautifully with the Jazzy Leggings. The fabric is light so it doesn’t get sticky or uncomfortable as you get warmer.

The ethos of Boudavida get another gold star from me too! The mother daughter partnership are encouraging and empowering women by donating a percentage of every item of clothing that they sell to worthwhile projects supporting women’s sport and aspiring athletes.

Anabel Sexton is the founder and CEO of Boudavida, and her vision is a world where all women and girls can feel that sport is a natural pathway for them. This is why she and her daughter Gabriella decided there was room for an active wear brand that cares about and invests in its own market. They decided to bring the fashion focus that has become such an appealing part of yoga and gym kit to all sportswear.
