June Editor’s Choice for the Anti-Ageing Aficionado

It’s June and Summer is nearly here and there has been a blast of sunshine which made me so glad that I had pre planned to get ‘Summer Ready’ with a collection of fantastic beauty and skincare finds

This Month We Cleansed

June Editor's ChoiceI find that you cannot start, or end, the day without a good cleanse and with a sensitive skin I am hooked on the lightweight lathering formula of Elizabeth Arden Pro Gentle Facial Cleanser £30 – www.effortlessskin.com

Remove the everyday build-up of oil, bacteria and environmental stressors as well as make-up with the Elizabeth Arden PRO Gentle Facial Cleanser.

This cleanser contains LCA Complex (a blend of Lactic Acid and antioxidants), Grapefruit Extract and Salicylic Acid to gently resurface and decongest the skin while gradually brightening dull areas to leave the skin looking fresh and radiant. Added Allantoin and Bisabolol provide anti-inflammatory benefits, keeping the skin calm during and after cleansing.

June Editor's ChoiceWe Tanned

I know that it is a cliche but the old ones are truly the best ones where I am concerned and I chose Fake Bake Original which I first started using in the 90’s when I was a bit of self confessed ‘Tanorexic’ and hankered after being the colour of a conker!  It is a wonder that I do not have the hide of a rhino……

So if you want a safe, natural but darker tan then look no further!  If a darker tan is desired, it can be re-applied over consecutive days, however one application is usually enough.  Think conkers or TOWIE.  £12.90 –  www.fakebake.co.uk

We intensively Revitalised, Boosted and Moisturised withJune Editor's Choice
Linda Meredith Serum £45 – www.lindameredith.com

Known as the Queen of Facials, Linda Meredith knows her stuff when it comes to skin.  I loved boosting my current skincare with her fabulous serum.

Made up of things like soybean oil, sunflower oil, thyme and vitamin E, this is vitamin enriched, healthy face food. Especially effective on tired, dry or sensitive

skin. Based on essential oils which have a smaller molecular structure and are completely absorbed into the skin so healing works below the surface layers. Works best by adding a few drops into moisturiser either day or night.

June Editor's ChoiceIndeed Vitamin C24 – £24.99

This is a cream that has a revolutionary formula that protects your skin from free radicals and reduces inflammation as well as reducing the appearance of fine lines

June Editor's Choice

Indeed 10 balm – £19.99

This is an intensive anti-irritation healing balm that is a targeted skin solution that heals and nourishes without irritation. It will be perfect for after all those long hours under the sun this summer!

June Editor's Choice

Who’s sat in the sun for a tad longer than they should have? Hands up if your skin is screaming for some hydration!  I was delighted with Necta Perfecta, £39.95, from Bee Good

British propolis & Bisabolol work in harmony to accelerate the skin’s natural healing process, and the blend of British honey, beeswax & 100% natural plant waxes attracts & locks in moisture & protecting against dehydration.

NectaPerfecta can be used as a flash 15-minute mask, or left on overnight for a super moisturising treatment – it’s the ultimate treat for sun-parched skin. Buy Now

We BlottedJune Editor's Choice

With all the heat and humidity we have been having no one wants to look like a sweaty damp shiny mess.  In a war between shiny dewy complexion and matte I tend to go for the matte.

Murad’s MattEffect Blotting Perfector £32 www.murad.co.uk

It has a cushion compact that releases a translucent, pink liquid formula created with green clay extract and marshmallow powder. Yes, MARSHMALLOW POWDER!

This fun new oil-blotting marvel from Murad is essentially a power-packed grease-killer. Part of its Pore Reform range, the MattEffect Blotting Perfector is a sheer pink liquid housed in a cushion compact. It’s been formulated with French green clay extract, marshmallow powder (!) and soft-focus mattifying spheres to absorb oil and minimise the appearance of imperfections.  Really does the job and I love it!

Next month I will be focusing on body care and serums that set your Summer Skin Aglow! Do you have a favourite? Let me know editor@totallyaesthetic.com
